           STEVE's  CORNER
Doing scrimshaw is very time consuming. Each piece can take from 5  to 100 hours or longer. I price my scrims according to hours and the size of the piece.  I start new pieces weekly, so check back and see what new art I have designed. If it is a design you already have and would like it done on a piece of ivory, contact myself or my wife Andrea and we will  help you the best we can.

The piece I am working on in this picture on the HOME page is similar to the Mad Hatter. I think it will be a necklace when I am done or I will mount it with a bit of a twist, after all he was MAD!      I am getting ready to start a very nice piece on wooly mammoth and will be putting a portrait of the king on it, the ivory is 2x2 and has a nice curve to it, check back and look at my scrims in progress, see you soon.

The tools in the picture on the HOME page are what I use to do my scrims. A scribe, scapel, pin vise, ink and dental pick. All the necklaces I do are hand wrapped with sterling silver wire, I use differnt guage wire depending on what kind of piece I am creating.

Thanks for visiting my web page.  Please look at my work.
Every piece is done strictly by hand,
from cutting the ivory to the finished product.
I can do special order pieces with allowable time.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
